THE UNFAIR ADVANTAGE with Brian Gitt

Solving problems backward

Episode Summary

It’s a lot easier to identity something that is likely to fail versus something that will likely succeed. Inversion is a valuable device to add to your mental toolkit to help you solve problems and achieve your goals. Inversion helps you understand a problem by allowing you to see it from a different angle. Flip a problem around and approach it from the opposite end of the natural starting point. Instead of starting at the beginning and thinking forward, start at the end and think backward.
